WidowedNotAlone
Helping Widows and Widowers Find Hope, Healing, and Connection After Loss
The loss of a spouse changes your life forever. The loneliness, unanswered questions, and challenges of learning how to live again can feel overwhelming. At WidowedNotAlone, our mission is to provide a safe and supportive community where widows and widowers can find understanding, connection, and hope.
Founded by Kathryn Monaco Douglas after the sudden loss of her husband, Larry, at the age of 42, WidowedNotAlone began with one simple belief:
No one should have to walk through the journey of grief alone.
For over 20 years, WidowedNotAlone has helped individuals navigate the difficult path after losing a spouse through peer support groups, trained facilitators, education, and community outreach.
We understand that grief is personal, and every journey is different. Our groups provide a place where people can share their stories, ask questions, build friendships, and learn from others who truly understand.
Our mission is to:
● Provide compassionate peer support for widows and widowers
● Create a welcoming community where no one feels alone
● Offer resources and guidance during the difficult transition after loss
● Raise awareness about grief and the importance of support
Whether your loss is recent or you are still struggling with the changes that come after losing your spouse, WidowedNotAlone is here to so you don’t have to walk this alone
